action

Asao is quite a loser who spends all day watching porn movies or imagining himself having sex with a woman. Asao has no wife. So he comes up with the strangest ideas to pick up young women. He has the idea of buying a smart car as an eye-catcher, but has a car turned on in which he looks even more ridiculous.

Asao not only runs from idea to idea, but also from one misfortune to another, for example when he wants to dig for gold or rob a bank.

At some point he meets a mad professor. He has big plans for his new guinea pig. Making Asao invisible is just the professor's first quirky idea. In the end, Asao is a big fly on a huge pile of dung.

reception

Getting Any? , in which Takeshi Kitano was featured in the credits as Beat Takeshi , came to Japanese cinemas on February 11, 1995 and was a flop there.

The critics were divided. In 2001, Midnight Eye thought the film was a bizarre, exaggerated, absurd and stupid piece of slapstick stupidity. The film is full of allusions to the Japanese society and culture of the time, which is why western viewers cannot understand most of the jokes.
