Giacomo Furia
Giacomo Furia (born January 2, 1925 in Naples , † June 5, 2015 in Rome ) was an Italian actor and screenwriter .
Life
Furia started on the stage right after World War II, alongside Eduardo De Filippo, and two years later he made his first film under Mario Mattòli . This was the beginning of a fruitful career in numerous film comedies as a partner of Totò , Aldo Fabrizi or Tina Pica - but also in serious roles alongside Marcello Mastroianni and Sophia Loren . He played under directors such as Federico Fellini , Alberto Lattuada and Mario Soldati .
As early as 1954 he was also working for television and was seen in many roles; his filmography includes around 150 appearances up to his last role in 2008 in Vincenzo Salemme's No Problem .
In 1997 Furia published his autobiography Le maggiorate, il principe e l'ultimo degli onesti (Amico Vip) . He appeared three times as a screenwriter; Furia was also active as a voice actor.
