Gianna Woodruff (born November 18, 1993 in Santa Monica ) is a Panamanian hurdler who specializes in the 400-meter distance and has held the South American record since 2017. Her younger sister Yasmin Woodruff is also a track and field athlete and holds the Panamanian national records over 100 and 200 meters.

Athletic career

Gianna Woodruff gained her first international championship experience at the Ibero-American Championships in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 , where she won the silver medal behind Uruguayan Déborah Rodríguez with 57.34 seconds . In 2017 she won the gold medal in the 400-meter hurdles at the South American Championships in Luque in 56.04 s and thus received a bye for the World Championships in London , where she was eliminated in the semifinals with 57.32 s . In November she won the silver medal at the Juegos Bolivarianos in Santa Marta .
