Gianni Ambrosio (born December 23, 1943 in Santhià , Vercelli province , Italy ) is an Italian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of Piacenza-Bobbio .

Gianni Ambrosio received on 7 July 1968 by the Archbishop of Vercelli , Albino Mensa , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On December 22, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Piacenza-Bobbio. Cardinal Secretary of State Tarcisio Cardinal Bertone SDB donated him episcopal ordination on February 16, 2008 ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Vercelli, Enrico Masseroni , and the Bishop of Brescia , Luciano Monari .

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on July 16, 2020.
