Giannina Erfany-Far

Giannina Erfany-Far (born April 13, 1987 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German actress. She is known for the role of Kamila in the Netflix series Dogs of Berlin , directed by Christian Alvart .

Life

Erfany-Far spent the first six years of her life in Frankfurt and then moved with her family to Athens , where she attended the German School Athens . After graduating from high school, she went to Berlin and began acting training at the European Theater Institute . In 2009 she moved to the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich and successfully completed her acting studies in 2012. She gained additional experience in film acting in workshops at the New York Film Academy in New York City and the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in Ludwigsburg . Erfany-Far feels very attached to Theodoros Terzopoulos' theater method and has twice participated in his international workshop in Athens.

During her studies she appeared in several productions of the Münchner Kammerspiele . In 2014 Erfany-Far was a guest in the play The Good Man of Sezuan , directed by Katerina Evangelatos at the State Theater Augsburg . In 2015/16 she played in Ersan Mondtag's production A Requiem German Court Languages at the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin .

Erfany-Far is currently studying film studies at the Free University of Berlin in her spare time . From August 2017 to November 2018 she participated in the large art project DAU . She lives in Berlin.
