Gideon Glick

Gideon Glick (born June 6, 1988 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania ) is an American actor .

Life

Glick attended Lower Merion High School in Ardmore , Pennsylvania. He is the younger of two brothers; his older brother is called John . He played as early as the primary school ( elementary school ) and during his high school -time theater. As a child, he had starred in a play of The Wizard of Oz in preschool . At the age of 11 he first appeared in a professional theater performance. In 2004 he took on the role of Aladdin in a workshop production of the Disney musical Aladdin Junior .

From December 2006 to August 2007 he played on Broadway in New York City in the musical Spring Awakening the role of the student Ernst, who is seduced by his homosexual classmate Hänschen. As Ernst, Glick was part of the first performance cast of the musical. From October 2007 to August 2008 he took on the role of teen Howie in an off-Broadway production of the play Speech and Debate by Stephen Karam at Roundabout's Black Box Theater (Roundabout Underground) in New York . In 2011 he played the role of homosexual boy scout Jacob in the Lucille Lortel Theater's Off Broadway production of the play Wild Animals You Should Know . In 2012 he appeared at The Public Theater in New York as Jack in a production of the musical Into the Woods by Stephen Sondheim . Glick received good reviews for his interpretation.

In addition to his work as a theater and musical actor, Glick has also had a number of film and television roles since 2005. In the tragic comedy Das Traum-Date (2005) he embodied the role of the slap . In 2014, Glick had a recurring supporting role as Ty McKay in the 2nd season of the American television series Devious Maids .

Glick is of Jewish descent. He is openly gay . His coming-out he had claims to the age of 13, when he was in 7th grade (Seventh grade).
