Gil Netter
Gil Netter (* before 1991 in Bronxville , New York ) is an American film producer who was nominated for an Oscar in 2010 and 2013 .
Life
The first time as a film producer Netter appeared in 1991 in the comedy with Leslie Nielsen in The Naked Cannon 2½ . In its sequel, the third part of the series, he was also involved as a producer. At the 2010 Academy Awards , he received his first Oscar nomination in the Best Picture category for the film Blind Side, with Sandra Bullock in one of the leading roles. For the adventure film Life of Pi: Shipwreck with Tiger , Netter received his second nomination in this category at the 85th Academy Awards . The film also won an AFI Award for Best Film of the Year.
Netter is the step-uncle of screenwriter Christian Forte and his sister Julie Forte , a storyboard writer who are the children of singer and actor Fabiano Anthony Forte .
