Gilles Côté SMM (born November 24, 1945 in Vanier ) is Bishop of Daru-Kiunga .

Life

Gilles Côté joined the Congregation of Montfortains at and received on 19 December 1970, the priestly ordination . Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Daru - Kiunga and titular bishop of Cissa on February 3, 1995 .

The Bishop of Daru-Kiunga, Gérard-Joseph Deschamps SMM, consecrated him on April 23 of the same year as bishop ; Co- consecrators were Peter Kurongku , Archbishop of Port Moresby , and Brian James Barnes, OFM , Bishop of Aitape .

On January 2, 1999, he was appointed bishop of Daru-Kiunga.
