Rafael Sandoval Sandoval MNM (born October 4, 1947 in Guáscaro Michoacán , Mexico ) is a Mexican clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Autlán .

Life

Rafael Sandoval Sandoval joined the religious order of the Misioneros de la Natividad de María and the Apostolic Delegate in Mexico, Archbishop Mario Pio Gaspari , ordained him a priest on July 2, 1974 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Tarahumara on January 4, 2005 . The Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , Crescenzio Sepe , ordained him episcopal on March 9 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Cardinal Norberto Rivera Carrera , Archbishop of Mexico , and José Fernández Arteaga , Archbishop of Chihuahua .

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Autlán on November 23, 2015 . The inauguration took place on January 21 of the following year.
