Giovanni Gullo (born August 8, 1983 in Brescia ) is a former Italian cross-country skier .

Career

From 2001 to 2015, Gullo mainly participated in races of the Continental Cup and the Alpine Cup. He achieved a total of 16 podium finishes, including four wins. In the 2006/07 season he finished second, in the 2008/09 season fourth and in the 2009/10 season fifth in the overall ranking of the Alpine Cup. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2002 in Schonach in the Black Forest , he achieved 43rd place in the 30 km mass start race. The following year he came at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Sollefteå on the 50th place over 10 km classic and on the 47th place in the sprint. He ran his first of a total of 18 World Cup races in December 2003 in Val di Fiemme and finished 58th in the sprint. At the U23 World Championships in 2006 in Kranj , he was classically over 15 km and seventh in the skiathlon . In February 2009 he came in 33rd place over 15 km classic at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec . In February 2011 he got his first and only World Cup points in Drammen with the 27th place over 15 km classic. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 2011 , he finished 27th over 15 km classic. He ran his last World Cup race in February 2014 in Toblach , which he finished classically in 62nd place over 15 km.
