Giovanni Luca Raimondi (born November 22, 1966 in Cernusco sul Naviglio , Lombardy ) is an Italian Roman Catholic clergyman and auxiliary bishop in Milan .

Life

Giovanni Luca Raimondi first attended the boys' seminary and then studied at the seminary of the Archdiocese of Milan in Venegono Inferiore . On June 13, 1992, he received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Milan through Carlo Maria Cardinal Martini SJ .

After ordination, he worked in various parishes, most recently from 2008 to 2018 as the head clergyman of the Bernareggio pastoral care community . Since 2018 he has been Episcopal Vicar for Pastoral Care Zone IV of the Archdiocese of Milan, based in Rho .

Pope Francis appointed him titular bishop of Feradi Maius and auxiliary bishop in Milan on April 30, 2020 . The Archbishop of Milan, Mario Delpini , donated him and the auxiliary bishop Giuseppe Natale Vegezzi, who was appointed with him, episcopal ordination on June 28 of the same year . Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishops emeritus Erminio De Scalzi and Luigi Stucchi from Milan .
