occupation

Gisbert is a television series by and with Hape Kerkeling , which was produced by WDR in 1998 . It first ran in Germany in 1999.

The main character Gisbert , embodied by Hape Kerkeling, is an employee of a temporary employment company , who is given a different task in each episode and fails in this due to his clumsy manner. At the end of each episode Gisbert's conclusion is: “I just wanted to help!”. Gisbert obviously does not have a family name and is only called "Mr. Gisbert" by strangers.

In addition to Gisbert , Mrs. Schlacke ( Hella von Sinnen ), the head of the employment agency, and Mr. Faulhaber ( Ralph Morgenstern ), another employee of the company and, in contrast to Gisbert, always conscientious and versatile, are other recurring characters in the series. In addition, Isabel Varell , Maren Kroymann , Gottfried Vollmer and Tana Schanzara appear in roles that change with each episode. Guest roles were also cast, including by Elke Sommer , Harald Schmidt , Zachi Noy and Katja Ebstein .
