Gottfried Vollmer (born July 7, 1953 in Göttingen ) is a German actor and teacher of meditation techniques .

life and career

Gottfried Vollmer learned the acting trade at the University of the Arts in Berlin . In 1979 he had his first leading role in the ARD series Parole Chicago at the side of Christoph Waltz . He became better known in 1984 in the sitcom Büro, Büro and in 1993 in the comedy No Pardon by and with Hape Kerkeling . Vollmer played in numerous television and cinema productions, but is best known for his appearances in television series . One of his best-known roles was that of Police Commissioner Dieter Bonrath in the action-Series alarm for Cobra 11 , which he embodied for 18 years until his serial death . Vollmer also takes on theater engagements, for example he appeared at the Free Volksbühne and in the Theater zum western Stadthirschen in Berlin.

The connection between Vollmer and fellow actor Adele Landauer gave birth to their daughter Marlene Landauer (* 1985), who also works as an actress and model . The couple married two years after their daughter was born and later divorced. Vollmer runs his own meditation school and is considered an expert in transcendental meditation. Gottfried Vollmer lives in Berlin.
