Gisela Graupner

Gisela Graupner (born June 30, 1927 in Leipzig , † June 29, 2010 in Berlin ) was a German actress .

Life

Graupner was born in 1927 as the daughter of a businessman. At a young age she took dance lessons, played theater in school performances and trained as an actor. In 1946 she made her stage debut in Altenburg . Later she played in other cities such as Dessau , Cottbus , Erfurt and finally in 1953 in Berlin at the Maxim-Gorki-Theater .

From 1951 she was married to the actor Albert Zahn . From this marriage, which lasted only until 1968, a son, Oliver, was born. Graupner took her first film role in 1955 in the DEFA film Star with Stranger Feathers ; she played a reporter. From 1962 she was mostly freelance. She gave many chanson evenings, dubbed films and starred in some cinema and television films. From the 1980s she worked in the broadcasting control of GDR television. She gave up her job in 1985 due to facial paralysis.
