Giuseppe Anfossi

Giuseppe Anfossi ( French often Joseph Anfossi due to the bilingualism Italian / French in the Aosta Valley ; born March 7, 1935 in Enneberg ) is emeritus Bishop of Aosta .

Life

Giuseppe Anfossi was ordained a priest on June 28, 1959 and was incardinated in the clergy of the Archdiocese of Turin . Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Aosta on December 30, 1994 .

The Archbishop of Turin , Giovanni Cardinal Saldarini , donated him episcopal consecration on January 22nd of the next year; Co- consecrators were Ovidio Lari , Old Bishop of Aosta, and Severino Poletto , Bishop of Asti .

On November 9, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI. the resignation put forward by Giuseppe Anfossi for reasons of age.
