Giuseppe Rossi (bishop)

Giuseppe Rossi (born April 5, 1887 in Rosciate , Bergamo province , † March 2, 1983 ) was an Italian clergyman and titular bishop of Palmyra .

Life

Giuseppe Rossi received on 15 October 1911, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

Rossi was the ruler of the Apostolic Penitentiary and was appointed by Pope John XXIII. Appointed Consultor to the Central Commission for the Preparation of the Second Vatican Council .

On March 9, 1963, Pope John XXIII appointed him. as titular bishop of Palmyra . He received his episcopal ordination on April 21st of the same year by the Prefect of the Congregation for the Order of the Sacraments , Cardinal Benedetto Aloisi Masella ; Co-consecrators were the secretary of the Congregation for the Sacraments, Enrico Dante , and the Milanese auxiliary bishop Francesco Bertoglio .

Rossi was the council father of the second to fourth session of the Second Vatican Council.
