Giuseppe Scorzelli (born May 25, 1971 in Rome , Latium ) is an Italian artistic director and music therapist .

Life

Giuseppe Scorzelli completed his piano studies in 2003 at the Alfredo Casella Conservatory in L'Aquila with Elena Matteucci and then studied chamber music with Marco Zuccarini. In 2004/05 he completed piano studies at the Mozarteum Salzburg . In 2009 he graduated with a master's degree in music marketing and event organization at the Trento University of Music . He completed his internship in Venice at the Biennale di Venezia  and later at the Trento Business Festival ( Festival dell'Economia ). In 2012 he graduated from the University of L'Aquila with a degree in music therapy .

From 2010 to 2016 Scorzelli was artistic director of the Campli Borgo della Musica in Abruzzo , where he brought the Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese , Roberto Plano, Amanda Sandrelli , Gloria Campaner and Boris Petrushansky to the stage. From 2010 to 2013 he directed the Teramo Musical Afternoon .

Since 2012 he has been artistic director of the two-week FestivalFlorio in Favignana , where he has brought artists such as Gino Paoli , Danilo Rea , Enrico Pieranunzi , Roberto Burioni, Chiara Gamberale and Luigi Lo Cascio to the stage. Scorzelli has been working in Germany since 2016 and is visiting professor for music therapy at the University of L'Aquila.
