The structure near Elschbach is a nature reserve in the district of Kaiserslautern in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The approximately 50 hectare nature reserve includes parts of the community of Bruchmühlbach-Miesau and Hütschenhausen and is located on the Glan .

Through the protection, the "open valley floodplain areas with near-natural streams, wet meadows , tall herbaceous meadows , pastures, forest edges, reed meadows as locations of typical and rare wild-growing plant species and as habitats and partial habitats of typical and rare animal species threatened in their existence as well as the corresponding communities" are to be preserved .
