The Eastern Palatinate Moorniederung is a nature reserve in the Kaiserslautern district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The approximately 1400 ha area includes parts of the city of Kaiserslautern and the communities of Kindsbach ( Verbandsgemeinde Landstuhl ), Ramstein ( Verbandsgemeinde Ramstein-Miesenbach ), Landstuhl and Hauptstuhl (Verbandsgemeinde Landstuhl) and Weilerbach ( Verbandsgemeinde Weilerbach ).

By placing it under protection, the "eastern Palatinate moorland with moors, extensive grassland, near-natural forests and waters as a large contiguous wetland habitat for typical, rare and endangered wild plants and wild animal species in connection with and in addition to its western part" is to be preserved and developed. It is also carried out "because of its special character, rarity and sometimes outstanding beauty."
