Glen Cook
Glen Charles Cook (* 9 July 1944 in New York City ) is an American fantasy - author .
Life
In high school, he began writing for the school newspaper. After serving in the US Navy , he graduated from college. It was only during a mentally less demanding industrial job at General Motors that he began to develop serious writing ambitions. In 1970 he was a participant in the renowned Clarion workshop for budding science fiction and fantasy authors.
Cook is married with three grown children and lives in St. Louis , Missouri .
