The Gmina Krynki is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Sokólski of the Podlaskie Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city of the same name ( Lithuanian Krinkai ; Belarusian Кры́нкі, Krynki ) with about 2500 inhabitants. It lies on the border with Belarus . On January 1, 2009, Krynki was raised again from village to town.
