Goggolori
The Goggolori or Goggolore is a Bavarian literary legend figure.
Prior to Otto Reuther's book Der Goggolore (1935), there are only vague testimonies to the figure , which was certainly incorrectly traced back to the Celtic period . It was Reuther's creation that made the goblin-like creature that he located on Lake Ammersee popular.
Reuther's old Bavarian village history disguises itself as a reproduction of traditional stories. Therefore, the Federal Court of Justice felt compelled to dismiss a copyright lawsuit brought by Reuther's heirs against the writer Michael Ende (BGH, GRUR 1991, p. 456 - Goggolore).
Michael Ende wrote the libretto for the opera The Goggolori . A Bavarian fairy tale with music written in Bavarian dialect . The name Goggolori is best known today through this opera, for which Wilfried Hiller composed the music (first performance on February 3, 1985, Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich ).
Carl Orff , Hiller's teacher, had the goblin Goggolori perform in Astutuli , a Bavarian comedy (made in 1947/49) .
Johannes Reitmeier's folk piece da Goggolore is strongly based on Reuther's version .
After the figure are named:
- a restaurant that has existed since 1998 in Bad Kötzting in the Upper Palatinate region and
- the Weilheimer Goggolori , a Williams Christ pear brandy
- a field name in the south of the Bodenwöhrer Bucht (in the transition from the district of Schwandorf to the district of Cham ), north of the federal highway 16 (formerly B 16n ).
