Gold 1 (civil Dwaine Thomassine ) is a Caribbean R & B - singer who is also under the pseudonym Dwaine is known.

Career

Dwaine Thomassine was born in the Caribbean island state of Trinidad & Tobago . At the age of 12, his family emigrated with him to California , where he spent his youth.

On July 7th, 2009 he released his first studio album First Love , the style of which is primarily characterized by R&B. The first single was released digitally in November 2010. It was the title Keep On Dancin ' . On January 1, 2010 a single was released under the title Super Beast , which contains three tracks. It was released by the record label Rage Entertainment . On February 15, 2011 his EP Through My Veins came out. This consists of four tracks.

Since he made a name for himself in the R&B sector, he has published remixes of songs by artists such as Flo Rida and Katy Perry on his YouTube channel . He also put his own songs in there, all of which were produced by the G&J producer team. Through the G&J productions, he switched his previously represented R&B style to dance music . After songs like Outta Control were clicked tens of thousands of times, he stopped running the channel in 2011 due to a contract with the German house record label Kontor Records .

His first official single release via Kontor is called URA Millon $ Girl , which he released under the pseudonym "Dwaine" together with P. Diddy , Keri Hilson and Trina . The song is based on the track of the same name by Diddy, Hilson and Trina alone. The song was released in the fall of 2011 and peaked at number one on the Japanese iTunes - charts .

Then the single Party Like a DJ was released on October 28, 2011 together with The Glam, Flo Rida and Trina and in March 2012 the song (Avalanche) Rescue Me From the Dancefloor by M.iam.i and Flo Rida, at the he also sings along to a large extent, but his name cannot be found on the single. He wrote both songs himself, but the rap parts of Flo Rida and Trina are only taken from other songs.

After these successes in the Asian area, he adopted the pseudonym "Gold 1" and had a big hit with his first single This Is My Love . It originally came from Jaeson Ma, an Asian preacher and rapper from the United States. He had already recorded it with Bruno Mars in 2009 under the title Love . It was re-produced for the European market with the singer Gold 1 and the original interpreters and released on Kontor in October 2012 . In the German-speaking countries, but also in the Netherlands, it was able to place in the top 40. It was produced by the Swiss DJ and producer David May . There are various remixes on the single, including some from the Michael Mind Project .

The second single was the song Rainbow on March 15, 2013. The song was recorded together with Trina and Nicki Minaj . The single consists exclusively of remixes by DJ Davis Redfield. However, the track could not follow up on the success of This Is My Love .

On June 28, 2013 he released the single Dance for Life together with Flo Rida and Shun Ward. It was presented on the Kontor Top of the Clubs Vol. 59 . Swiss DJ David May, who already produced and mixed This Is My Love , also produced and mixed this track. It is the third publication under the pseudonym Gold 1 .

Another song exists on the YouTube video portal, but it has not yet been officially released. It's called Don't Throw This Love Away and was produced by the German producer duo Hitimpulse , who have already written and produced songs for Usher , Iyaz and others. In April 2014, Gold 1 released the song Switch Scenes , which he produced with Canadian songwriter and producer Omaray Andrews. Much like Don't Throw This Love Away, it contains strong R&B influence.

On October 21, 2014, another dance single was released, entitled Beyond Wonderful . The track was mixed by the German DJ Davis Redfield and contains a rap part by the rapper Flo Rida. However, the release took place only in selected countries, including Japan and Italy. At the same time, Thomassine was active as a songwriter for various record labels such as Kontor Records . Earlier in 2014, the single release of the song Can't See Down , which was created in collaboration with the US rapper Ya Boy , was announced. However, this did not happen.
