The Goldbach is a tributary of the Düte , which itself flows into the Hase . For large sections of its course, it is the state border between Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia.
course
The Goldbach spring is located in Lienen Holperdorp . Below the Lienen mountain and the Westerbeck mountain is the source area registered as a natural monument of the municipality of Lienen. Two other secondary sources of the Goldbach are also registered as natural monuments. After a few hundred meters in the Lienen area, the border between Lienen and Hagen in the Teutoburg Forest or North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony runs for a short distance in the Goldbach .
After flowing through the village of Hagens, it takes up the left tributary of the Sudenfelder Bach. The locations of Gellenbeck and Natrup-Hagen are passed to the north. Shortly after the Natruper Mühle, the Goldbach forms the state border between Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia again over a long distance to the Rheiner Landstrasse near Osnabrück-Atter (former Bundesstrasse 65 ).
