The Golmer Joch is a 2124 meter high elevation in the Golmer ridge , which runs for a length of a good one and a half kilometers from northeast to southwest. The ridge belongs to the eastern Rätikon in the western Central Alps and is located in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg west of Tschagguns .

The area around the Golm is a ski area accessible by numerous lifts and, in summer, a popular mountain hiking area due to its easy accessibility.

Surroundings

The Golmer Joch is about five and a half kilometers as the crow flies west-southwest of Tschagguns. Adjacent mountains in the course of the Golmer Ridge in the southwest are the 2219 meter high Latschätzkopf, separated by an unnamed yoke height at 2094 meters, and in the further course the Kreuzjoch ( 2261  m ). To the south, separated by the Latschätzalpe , lies the 2334 meter high Geißspitze .

ways

Numerous hiking trails and ski slopes lead through the Golm. The most important is the Golmer Höhenweg , which is partially equipped with rope insurance. It starts at the Grüneck mountain station of the Golmerbahn , a gondola lift that leads up from Vandans . In a south-westerly direction it leads to the Golmer Joch, further, now called Geißspitzweg , it runs to the Lindauer Hütte at 1744 meters above sea level. According to the literature, the walking time is around four hours.
