action

The young Briton Alex travels alone with a backpack through Australia. In Sydney he met the American Taylor, who was about the same age. The two young people spend a wild night with two girls, which is captured by Taylor on Polaroid . Alex discovers that Taylor travels a lot and records all of his vacation acquaintances on Polaroid.

The next morning, the two young people continue their journey through Australia in Taylor's minibus and Alex admits that he has a steadfast girlfriend with whom he wants to meet in order to travel on with her. Taylor is unusually hurt by this fact. When the two boys arrive at Alex's friend Sophie and her friend Ingrid, Taylor suggests that the four of them travel on in his minibus, which Alex is not very happy about. A little later, Taylor claims that Ingrid traveled on alone without saying goodbye, and urges Sophie and Alex to leave.

During the trip through the Australian outback, Taylor subtly alienates Alex and Sophie. He creates situations that make Alex look bad in front of Sophie, while Taylor repeatedly presents himself as a good friend. At a party, Alex witnesses a Scottish tourist berating Taylor for his actions in Thailand, calling him Jamie. The situation between Alex and Taylor is getting tense. When Taylor conspicuously threatened with a Polaroid photo while driving, showing Alex with one of the girls from Sydney, the driving Alex was inattentive for a moment and had an accident in which he was most seriously injured of the three young people.

Alex doesn't want Taylor to help, but when Sophie gives him pain pills, he only learns after they have been taken that they are from Taylor. Soon afterwards, Alex feels worse and worse and vomits frequently. He's sure this has something to do with Taylor's pills. Finally, Alex tells his girlfriend Sophie about the wild night in Sydney and the stressful Polaroid photo. The rift between Alex and Sophie, fueled by Taylor, leads to her booking separate rooms at the motel.

A little later, Sophie receives a text message from Alex informing her that he has traveled on alone. In fact, Alex is nowhere to be found. Taylor promises Sophie to take her back to Sydney. When the two take a break that night, they sleep together. Sophie feels guilty afterwards and sends Alex a text message. Through this, she discovers that Alex's cell phone is in Taylor's possession. Sophie tries to escape and finds Alex's body in the trunk of the minibus. It comes to a fight between Sophie and Taylor, which Sophie finally wins. She runs over Taylor in the minibus.

Reviews

VideoWoche: “The actors, who are convincing across the board, really try to allude to some predictability and length of a chase that is neither particularly bloody nor all too exciting. Solid addition to the thriller genre. "
