Christopher Dickens
Christopher Dickens (also known as Chris Dickens or Charlie Dickens ; * in England) is a British film editor .
Life
Born in England, Christopher Dickens graduated from Bournemouth Film School in 1990. In the late 1990s he was responsible for editing the British sitcom Spaced ; then he worked for another three years on the BBC-produced comedy show Look Around You . This was nominated for the British Academy Film Award in 2003 .
After Spaced , there was another collaboration with director Edgar Wright and British comedian, actor and screenwriter Simon Pegg in 2004 . After this first feature film project Shaun of the Dead , the police film satire Hot Fuzz was created in 2006 . In the shot in Mumbai film Slumdog Millionaire by Danny Boyle Chris Dickens was able to bring his sense of comic timing fully used and won it the 2009 BAFTA Award , the American Cinema Editors Award, the Online Film Critics Society , the Boston Society of Film Critics Award and the Oscar for the best cut.
In the credits he is sometimes called Charlie instead of Christopher. His work includes more than 40 productions for film and television.
