action

Essentially, the film is about the undead Eric returning and cruelly murdering Philip's friend Helma.

So he realizes that Eric is a gonger . When Philipp returns to his home village, badly hit by this incident, he meets the sheer hatred of the villagers. Together with some others who have lost loved ones through Eric in their life, he moves into the Villa Hansen and with the help of his experiences and Felix's cameras and devices develops a plan to destroy the ghost.

Thanks to Philip's dreams of the imminent murders, everyone can survive for a long time, but in the final phase of the film there is a final-destination- like chain - like massacre. When Eric strikes again, the villagers incited by the pastor decide to storm the villa. After further murders as well as the death of Pia and her boyfriend during a kiss, the showdown takes place : Philipp places himself in the catacombs of Eric in the house and learns that he cannot kill him because he is not the last Hansen alive, but the one Daughter of Helma who is also Philip's child and thus the last heir to the Hansen.

When he comes to his daughter - who is actually protected by Helma's mother, but killed by the possessed pastor - and he finds out that Eric has usurped his daughter, he has no choice; he has to kill his possessed daughter.

In the last scene, Philip is in India, where he hands his living daughter over to a shaman in a monastery. He turns to the camera again and you can clearly see that Eric has now taken possession of Philipp.

background

The production brought it to an average of only 1.86 million viewers. In the advertising-relevant target group of 14 to 49-year-old viewers, 1.43 million viewers tuned in, which corresponds to a weak market share of 10.3 percent. The unexpectedly low ratings make a further sequel appear questionable.
