Goran Tomić (born March 18, 1977 in Šibenik , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Croatian football player and current coach . He played for AEK Athens , Reggina Calcio and SV Austria Salzburg , among others . Today he is a coach at the Chinese club Beijing Baxy .

Career

Goran Tomić started playing football at Hajduk Split and came into professional sport in 1995 through the youth teams of HNK Šibenik . In 1997 he moved to Greece to AEK Athens and in the following season to Italy to Reggina Calcio . In the 1999/00 season he could with Vicenza Calcio , the Serie B win and climbed to the Venetians in the Serie A on. In 2001, SV Austria Salzburg brought him to Austria . The Salzburg he could be the third in 2003 and struck in the UEFA Cup , among others Udinese Calcio . After the takeover of Red Bull from the Salzburg club, he moved to Belgium for Lierse SK , where he only played a single role. For the 2006/07 season he played in China for Henan Construction before ending his career as an active player in 2006 at the age of just 29.
