Surroundings
East of Gordonstown a cairn has been described in the past where witches were judged at that time. During an inspection in the 1960s, no remains of a cairn were discovered. Not far from the Cairns is a healing spring dedicated to St. Mary. The well, protected by a stone wall, has been preserved to this day. The former parish church of the Parish is a few hundred meters south of Gordonstown. The building, erected in 1805, goes back to an older structure at the same location, but no remains of it can be found today. The now-abandoned Ordiquhill Parish Church is listed as a Category B Monument and is in poor condition.
