The A95 is a trunk road in Scotland . It connects the A9 north of Aviemore in the Highland region with the A98 between Portsoy and Banff in Aberdeenshire .
Branching off the A9 north of Aviemore, it initially largely follows the course of the Spey River on its north side. It runs through a sparsely populated region of the Highlands . In Grantown-on-Spey which opens A939 and A95 is guided on a bridge over the Spey. East of Cromdale , the Council Area Moray is reached, where the road crosses the Avon at Ballindalloch . It crosses the cities of Charlestown of Aberlour and Craigellachie , where the A941 intersects. After crossing the Fiddich , the A95 leaves the course of the Spey and continues in a north-easterly direction to Keith , where it runs together with the A96 for a few kilometers . Crossing the Isla twice, the A95 finally reaches Aberdeenshire. After a total length of 102 km, the road finally ends when it joins the A98 between Portsoy and Banff, not far from the south coast of the Moray Firth .
