Gottfried Fischer (musician)
Gottfried Fischer (born September 22, 1924 in Burgstädt ; † March 22, 2009 in Dresden ) was a German organist , cantor and church music director .
Live and act
Gottfried Fischer attended the Princely School in Grimma . He then studied church music at the Leipzig University of Music .
From 1958 Fischer worked as church music director for the parish of Oelsnitz. In 1974 he was appointed to the same position in Dresden at the Apostlekirche Dresden - Trachau ; there he worked as a cantor, organist and choir director.
From 1974 to 1997 Gottfried Fischer was a lecturer at the Dresden Church Music School.
