Gottfried Hoffmann (pastor)

Gottfried Hoffmann (born July 3, 1930 in Leipzig , † January 16, 2016 in Landau in the Palatinate ) was a German Lutheran theologian .

Life

Hoffmann was vicar in Heidelberg , Frankfurt am Main and Oberursel . After his ordination in 1957 he became pastor of the Oberursel congregation of the Independent Evangelical Lutheran Church . From 1965 to 1968 he was pastor of the St. Pauli parish in Hörpel . In 1968 he went back to Oberursel and worked at the Lutheran Theological College , first as a lecturer in dogmatic theology, after graduation in Heidelberg for Dr. theol. in 1972 until his retirement in 1993 as professor for this subject.
