Gottfried Meulenbergh

Gottfried Meulenbergh (born November 20, 1826 in Aachen , † December 20, 1875 ) was a German district judge . As a liberal , he sat in the Reichstag (North German Confederation) and in the customs parliament .

Life

Meulenbergh attended the Kaiser-Karls-Gymnasium and studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . In 1847 he became active in the Corps Rhenania Bonn . After the exams he worked at the Aachen Regional Court . After 1863 he was justice of the peace in Dülken , Dormagen and from 1863 in Geilenkirchen .

From 1867 to 1870 he was a member of the first ordinary Reichstag of the North German Confederation for the constituency of Münster 3 ( Borken , Recklinghausen ) and the German Progressive Party . In this capacity he was also a member of the Customs Parliament from 1868. On April 23, 1870, he resigned from the Reichstag. From 1866 to 1870 he was also a member of the Prussian House of Representatives .
