Gottfried Freiherr von und zu Eulenburg ( December 13, 1676 ; December 16, 1742 in Königsberg ) was a Prussian statesman .

Life

family

Gottfried was a member of the Prussian line Gallingen of the Lords of Eylenburg . His parents were the Colonel of the States General , Prussian District Administrator and Captain of the Rhine , Hereditary Lord of Prassen and Leunenburg Georg Friedrich von Eulenburg (1641–1699) and Eleonora Margarete, née von Goldstein (1646–1707). In 1701 he married Katharina, née Countess von Wallenrodt (1681–1751), a daughter of the Prussian statesman Christoph von Wallenrodt (1644–1711). The marriage resulted in ten children.

Career

Eulenburg was district administrator in Prussia and head of the caste since April 14, 1704. On April 4, 1709, he was in Colin on the Spree the baron confirmed for his complete sex. For the years 1726 to 1728 he is named as Obermarschall in the Kingdom of Prussia. In 1728 he was promoted to Real Secret Budget and War Council and Budget and War Minister .

He was hereditary lord on the Prussian estates of Prassen, Leuneburg, Landkeimen, Bloskam and Romsdorf , from 1709 also on Prantlacken and from 1734 on Gallingen and Tingen.
