Gotthard Baier

Gotthard Baier (born December 15, 1816 in Altenkirchen auf Rügen , † March 4, 1898 in Görlitz ) was a German judge and parliamentarian.

Life

After attending grammar school in Greifswald , Baier first studied philology and later law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . In 1837 he became a member of the Corps Rhenania Bonn . After completing his studies, he pursued a career as a judge. In 1886 he was a district judge in Görlitz . 1862/63 and 1882–1888 he sat in the Prussian House of Representatives .
