Gottlieb Christian Kippe

Gottlieb Christian Kippe (born September 21, 1802 in Retschow ; † November 7, 1883 in Rostock ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Kippe studied medicine and law in Rostock , Halle , Jena and Leipzig . During his studies he became a member of the closer association of the fraternity source society in Halle in 1821 , of the Jena fraternity in 1822 and of the Leipzig fraternity in 1823 . He became a member of the Youth League , which is why he was sentenced to two years in prison by the Higher Regional Court in Breslau in 1825 . He was promoted to Dr. iur. doctorate and from 1829 worked as a lawyer and in-house counsel in Rostock. He was a member of the Mecklenburg Parliamentary Assembly for the constituency of Doberan in 1848 and 1850. In 1856 he was appointed attorney, notary , procurator and judge at the criminal, lower and higher court in Rostock . In 1879 he was chairman of the Mecklenburg Bar Association until his death .
