Gotzenberg is a village with approx. 70 inhabitants in the central Franconian district of Nürnberger Land . Politically it belongs to the community of Happurg , ecclesiastically to the parish of Alfeld .

The place is on the open ground in the southeast of the municipality.

Until the municipal reform in the 1960s, Gotzenberg belonged to the municipality of Pollanden . In 1969 it was incorporated into the municipality of Thalheim , which a little later became part of the municipality of Happurg.

Gotzenberg has been connected to the sewage network since 2002, and a VGN bus line has served it since 2008 . In 1999 an oven was built, which now serves as a meeting point for village festivals.
