The Gougra is an approximately 9 km long left tributary of the Navisence in the Swiss canton of Valais . It drains the Val Moiry , a side valley of the Val d'Anniviers , into which it flows below Grimentz . It runs exclusively in the area of the commune of Anniviers .

Mouth of the Gougra in the Lac de Châteaupré (right) and outflow (rear)

The Gougra rises below the Col de la Lé and flows into the Lac de Châteaupré only shortly afterwards . The outflow of the Moiry glacier , which carries more water than the Gougra, also pours into these . It leaves the lake in the west and flows into the Lac de Moiry after 1.3 kilometers .

The Gougra leaves the lake between the Sex de Marinda ( 2906  m above sea level ) and the Corne de Sorebois ( 2896  m above sea level ) and shortly thereafter takes on the Torrent de Lona . It now flows in a north-easterly direction and includes the Freinze and the Torrent du Marais at Grimentz . A little later it joins the Navisence at Les Floz .
