The 2nd gubernatorial election in New York took place in April 1780. The governor and lieutenant governor of New York were elected . At that time the area was badly marked by fighting between British and colonial forces. British troops were still in the area.

Result

George Clinton ran for re-election with Pierre Van Cortlandt as running mate . They were re-elected to their respective offices without opposing candidates.
