The New York gubernatorial election of 1824 took place between November 1st and 3rd, 1824, and the governor and lieutenant governor of New York were elected.
Candidates
DeWitt Clinton competed with James Tallmadge as running mate for the People's Party faction of the Democratic Republican Party . Samuel Young joined Erastus Root for the Bucktails faction of the same party.
