New York gubernatorial election 1846
The New York gubernatorial election of 1846 took place on November 3, 1846, the governor and lieutenant governor of New York were elected.
Result
The Democratic Party and the Whig Party were almost equally strong at the time. The outcome of the election was decided by the Anti-Rent Party, which John Young and Addison Gardiner put on their ballot papers. Incumbent Governor Wright was defeated and incumbent Lieutenant Governor Gardiner was re-elected.
