The New York gubernatorial election of 1822 took place between November 4 and 6, 1822, and the governor and lieutenant governor of New York were elected.

Candidates

Joseph C. Yates ran with Erastus Root as running mate for the Democratic Republican Party for election. Solomon Southwick stood alone for governorship.
