Indoor handball

Gréta Hadfi began playing handball in her native Salgótarján, from there she moved to Budapest as a teenager and received her training at Ferencvárosi TC . She plays in the position of goalkeeper.

In the hall, Hadfi and her team were in the quarter-finals of the EHF Women's Champions League 2017/18 and failed here against GK Rostov-on-Don . In the following season , she was initially part of the FTC squad and was also used in the preliminary round against SG BBM Bietigheim . FTC failed again to Rostov in the quarterfinals. For the next season, Hadfi was loaned to the league competitor GVM Europe-Vác . With Vác she took part in the 2019/20 EHF Women's Cup and was eliminated in the third round against Kastamonu Belediyesi GSK from Turkey before the group stage. In the league, Hadfi was runner-up with the FTC in 2017/18 and 2018/19, in the Hungarian Cup she was third in 2018 and was in the final in 2019.

Hadfi also belonged to the squad of the U18 youth national team of Hungary in handball.

Junior

Hadfi has also celebrated great successes in beach handball. After missing the qualification for the Beachhandball Junior World Championships 2017 in Flic-en-Flac on Mauritius at the 2017 Beachhandball Junior European Championships at Jarun Lake near Zagreb , Hungary nevertheless moved up for the Norwegian women who did not compete. With only one defeat during the entire tournament, the Hungarian team won the title against the Netherlands. Hadfi showed an outstanding performance in a convincing team and was voted the best goalkeeper of the tournament. Hadfi also won the title with Hungary at the Beach Handball Junior European Championships 2018 in Montenegro .

A year later, Hadfi was part of Hungary's squad for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires , where beach handball was part of the Olympic Games program for the first time. Already in the first game against American Samoa a clear victory was achieved. Against the second big outsider of the tournament, Mauritius , a clear victory was achieved in the next game. Hadfi also showed her scorer qualities in the game, scoring eight points and thus as many as the field players Sára Léránt and Rebeka Benzsay . Only Csenge Braun scored two points more. In addition to the four hits of the game, with a 100% hit rate, she also kept four out of seven of the Mauritian shots on her goal and thus had a very good rate of 57% held balls. In the third game Russia could be defeated after a shootout. In the 2-0 victory against the big competitors for victory in the preliminary round, Croatia, she kept eight of the 20 throws on her goal and thus again achieved a very good value with 40% held balls. The last game of the preliminary round against Chinese Taipei was won 2-0. The series of successes could also be continued in the main round and Paraguay was beaten 2-0, with Hadfi again able to defuse 40% of the opposing throwing attempts. The next game was against the hosts from Argentina and led to the shootout, in which the Hungarians had to admit defeat for the first time, although they had a significantly better rate of 38:31 points when adding up the two rounds. Hadfi scored four points, two of them in the shootout and held nine of 18 throws and thus half. Against the Netherlands in the final main round game, Hungary was able to prevail in the shootout and moved into the semi-finals behind the Netherlands and ahead of Argentina and Croatia. Here Hungary lost to the hosts in the shootout, although the Hungarians even scored one point more in the addition of the halves. In the game for third place you met again on the selection of the Netherlands, which could be beaten 2-0. Once again Hadfi was able to immortalize himself in the scorer list with two hits and four points. With a total of 18 points she was by far the most offensive goalkeeper of the tournament and scored as many points as her teammate Réka Király and more than Gabriella Landi with just one goal and two points during the tournament. Her co-goalkeeper Dalma Mátéfi also interpreted the role of the goalkeeper as the second most successful point scorer among goalkeepers, but had less play. The bronze medal was the first medal awarded in beach handball in the Olympic context.

The successes continued at Beachhandball Euro 2019 in Stare Jabłonki . Hadfi was again part of the Hungarian squad, as was Rebeka Benzsay and Gabriella Landi, Csenge Braun and Réka Király as well as the then co-trainer Ágnes Győri from the Olympic team . All four games of the preliminary round were won against Poland , Portugal , France and Cyprus . The main round went less well, losing to Croatia and then the Netherlands before winning the third and final game against Norway . As fourth in the group, the Hungarians were the last to reach the quarter-finals. The game against Spain went into the shootout, but was won in the end. In the semi-final game they met the Netherlands once again , this time they were clearly beaten 2-0. Hungary met Denmark in the final . After the first round went clearly to the Northern Europeans, the second round was dramatic in the end. Denmark led two points with the last Hungarian attack just seconds to go when Rebeka Benzsay equalized with her only goal of the game. When almost all spectators now assumed that extra time would be needed, Ann Cecilie Møller scored the winning goal in a last quick Danish attack with the final second. During the tournament she was mostly the second goalkeeper behind Ágnes Győri, who was voted the best goalkeeper of the tournament. The final entry was also the qualification for the World Beach Games 2019 in ar-Rayyan , Qatar , for which Hadfi was not appointed.
