The building registered in the Quedlinburg monument register as a residential building is located north of the old town of Quedlinburg on the west side of the street Gröpern . It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . In the 18th century, Gröpern was a small settlement in front of the city wall, which was accessed through the Gröpern Gate .

Architecture and history

The two-storey baroque half-timbered house was built as a semi-detached house according to a carved inscription on the support beam in 1725 for Johannes and Agnes Henneberg. Ancient notch cuts can be found as decorations . The compartments are provided with various decorative linings. The inscription M.JA.TROST ZIMMERMANN refers to Joachim Trost as a carpenter . The half-timbered work in the houses at Schloßberg 29 , Mühlenstrasse 5 and An der Kunst 8 in Quedlinburg can also be attributed to him.
