Grünewald is a location in the west of the Bergisch city of Wuppertal in the district of Vohwinkel .

The location is at an altitude of 202 m above sea level. NHN east of Bahnstrasse , which is classified as Bundesstrasse 224 , in the Tesche residential area in the Vohwinkel district . Neighboring locations are Nösenberg , Sandfeld , Haus Lüntenbeck and Tesche , Broscheidt and Buntenbeck .
history
Grünewald was located in the municipality of Sonnborn , which was split off from the mayor's office in Haan in 1867 and which was renamed the municipality of Vohwinkel in 1888, when territory was ceded to the city of Elberfeld .
In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province from 1888, a house with 19 inhabitants is given.
When Wuppertal was founded in 1929, Grünewald was accepted into the city area as part of Vohwinkel.
The location of Grünewald is recorded on the measuring table from 1892 and the city map from 1930. Grünewald street was named between 1925 and 1928.
