The Gradötzkees (formerly Grödez Kees ) is a glacier in the Muntanitzkamm in the Lienz district (East Tyrol). It is located south of the Großer Muntanitz .

The Gradötzkees lies between the Wellachköpf and the Kleiner Muntanitz in the west, the Großer Muntanitz in the north and the Muntanitzpalfen in the east. The glacier is located in the municipality of Matrei in East Tyrol , the eastern edge area being on the border with the municipality of Kals am Großglockner . To the southwest is the Bachtrögerkees , to the northwest the Muntanitzkees . Its northernmost extent is between the Kleiner Muntanitz and the Kampl, in the south the Gradötzkees penetrates to about the northern summit of the Wellachköpf. The glacier has a maximum north-south length of around 1.1 kilometers.

At the beginning of the 1870s the Gradötzkees reached below the Great Muntanitz and extended to below 2,600 meters. With a north-south length of almost three kilometers, the Gradötzkees ended in the south in the area of today's Sudetendeutschen Hütte . In the second half of the 19th century, the Gradötzkees also formed lobes to the east, which extended west and east of the Plojerwand. These disappeared in the course of the glacier retreat, as did the neighboring Kredl Kees south of the Gradötzkogel . The lobes flowing eastward were still present in the middle of the 20th century, while the glacier in the south still reached down to 2,740 meters.
