Grafeld is part of the municipality Berge in the integrated municipality Fürstenau in the district of Osnabrück in Lower Saxony .

Grafeld is located on the northeastern edge of the Ankumer Höhe at an altitude of about 30 to 35  m above sea level. NN . About 3 km north of Grafeld is the Hahnenmoor nature reserve . To the east is the Börsteler Wald , about 5 km away there are mountains.

Grafeld was first mentioned in a document as Grafle , the creation of which falls between 1260 and 1270.

On July 1, 1972, Grafeld was incorporated into the municipality of Berge. Until then it belonged to the Bersenbrück district .
