Graham Duxbury
Graham Duxbury (born December 1, 1955 in Johannesburg ) is a former South African racing driver .
Racing career
Graham Duxbury celebrated his first successes in the South African monoposto sport in the early 1980s . He contested races in various junior series and in 1982 won the overall ranking of the South African Formula Atlantic Championship on a March 822 ahead of Trevor van Rooyen and Tony Martin . In 1983 he was behind Ian Scheckter , the brother of Jody Scheckter ( Formula 1 World Champion 1979 ) overall runner-up in this championship.
From 1984 Duxbury was also involved in sports car races in addition to its single-seater involvement . Between 1983 and 1988 he started irregularly in the sports car world championship . He celebrated his greatest success in international motorsport. Together with Sarel van der Merwe and Tony Martin, he won in 1984 at the 24 Hours of Daytona . In addition to a race start in the Sebring 12-hour race in the same year , he was twice in the Le Mans 24-hour race . In 1985 he was 22nd in the final ranking, in 1987 he could not classify.
After the end of his driving career, he worked as a television commentator for many years.
