Grand River is a village in Lake County in the US state of Ohio . The place is near the mouth of the river of the same name in Lake Erie . Across the river is Fairport Harbor . The population in 2000 consisted of 345 inhabitants.

Grand River is the hometown of Don Shula , a former NFL football coach who led the Miami Dolphins to two Super Bowl wins and was undefeated with his team in 1972.
